If you need to relinquish your pet…
Each Metro Shelter Denver Alliance member has its own process for relinquishing your pet. Please check the shelter’s website for details. When surrendering your pet, be prepared to provide the shelter with any medical information you have on the animal including their vaccination history. It is also helpful to tell the shelter any specific habits, food choices, behavior issues and other characteristics of the pet. The more information you can provide the shelter, the smoother the transition will be for the animal.
